Mission

Propose marketing channels

Name three real places one app's people already are, and say which one you would try first.

Why this matters

All seven names are invented, so they carry almost no search volume of their own.

Every tactic in the ASO kit is organic. Where these apps get found by the people who need them is a real, unsolved problem.

What you need to know first

A channel is not just a place to post. It is four things together, and fit is the one people skip.

Audience

Who actually spends time there.

Cost

What it takes to be there at all, in money or in access.

Effort

What it takes to keep showing up, week after week.

Skipped most often

Fit

Whether that audience wants this app, not just any app.

A channel is these four things at once. Fit is the one most people skip, and it decides whether the other three were worth the effort.

Skip fit, and the other three stop mattering: a countdown widget and an accessibility tool do not live in the same place.

The steps

  1. Pick an app

Read its page first, especially who it's for.

  2. Name three channels

Real, specific places, not categories like "social media."

  3. Score each on all four parts

Audience, cost, effort, and fit, for this app specifically.

  4. Say which one you would do first

And the one reason that makes it the right first bet.

A worked example

Floomp puts a message in huge text on screen, instantly, for someone who cannot speak or cannot be heard right now.

Fits: accessibility and AAC communities.

Forums and groups for non-speaking people, their families, and speech-language pathologists.

That audience is already looking for exactly this kind of tool.

The cost is mostly time: show up, listen, and only then mention Floomp.

Does not fit: a general productivity or widget-enthusiast space, the kind of place that works well for Dwindy's countdowns.

That audience wants a quieter, prettier home screen. Floomp is not decoration; it is for a moment someone needs to be heard.

First bet: the accessibility community.

The audience already gathers there, and the difference is a genuine reason to care, not a keyword.

Hand it in

Optional. Leave blank if there is nothing to link.

If you get stuck

Only a category, not a real place? Search for it by name. If no real community exists, that absence is worth reporting too.

Not sure an audience wants this app specifically? Re-read the app's "who it's for" line before guessing.

A free channel still costs something: your time, and the trust you spend if you show up only to sell.
