Story

Seven apps, one change of mind, made in public.

This is the true history of why these apps exist and what changed, with nothing smoothed over.

  1. Before June 2026

    Seven small apps

No accounts, no servers, one job each.

  2. 19 June 2026

    A hard audit

Most on-device utilities are copyable in a weekend. The audit proposes cutting to three.

  3. Shortly after

    Cut to three

    The proposal

    All seven again

    The reversal

  4. 22 June 2026

    v1.0.0-rc1

All seven tagged, building on both platforms.

  5. June to August 2026

    108 commits of hardening

Encryption, crash recovery, reminders that survive an update, accessibility, payments.

  6. Today

    You are here

    Everything buildable is built

What is left needs store accounts, signing and a real device.

Six moments from before June 2026 to today, including the week the plan was cut and then reversed.
Before June 2026

Seven small apps are designed, each doing one job; none of them needs an account or a server

The bet: people will pay a little for a tool that does not harvest them

19 June 2026

A hard audit says most on-device utilities are copyable in a weekend, and proposes cutting to three

Honest self-criticism, written down rather than buried

Shortly after

The cut is reversed. The goal returns to shipping all seven

Being wrong in public is cheaper than being wrong quietly

22 June 2026

The baseline is tagged v1.0.0-rc1, all seven building on both platforms

The line everything since has had to stay above

June to August 2026

108 commits of hardening: encryption, crash recovery, reminders that survive an app update, accessibility, payments

Most of the work in shipping is not building the feature

Today

Everything that can be built is built. What remains needs store accounts, signing and a real device

The team joins exactly at the launch step

The one rule

None of the seven apps has an account, a server or analytics. Data is stored on the phone and encrypted there. That is not a feature we added, it is the reason the portfolio exists, and every listing leads with it.
